The Thomas Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership is sponsored by the Presidents’ Roundtable of the National Council on Black American Affairs. The Institute honors the memory of the distinguished African-American educator, Dr. Thomas Lakin. Dr. Lakin was Chancellor of Ventura County Community College District and is warmly remembered as a mentor who inspired and encouraged dozens of promising leaders of color.  2007 Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership application.
