Dear Colleague: The 2008 Conference Planning Committee, representing the Southern Regional Council on Black American Affairs/North Carolina State Chapter and the Southern Region Board of Directors, invites you to attend the Annual Conference. With the theme "Meeting the Challenges: Preparing Students for Tomorrow’s Workplace," the conference planners expect the 2008 conference to be an excellent opportunity to exchange information and ideas affecting community college faculty, staff, and students.
The 2008 conference will be held at the Holiday Inn-I 95 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the home of Fort Bragg and the 82nd Airborne Division, November 6-8, 2008. The Conference Planning Committee has been very thoughtful in planning educational sessions and networking opportunities that will ensure you a pleasant conference experience.
The conference will offer outstanding speakers, workshops, and panels packed with information. The sessions will consist of two tracks: one for faculty/staff and one for student leaders.
Meeting location: Holiday Inn I-95 South, 1944 Cedar Creek Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Holiday Inn I-95 is located 5 miles from Fayetteville’s Grannis Field Airport and 60 miles from the Raleigh/Durham International Airport.
Hotel reservations: Call 910-323-1600 and request the North Carolina Chapter on Black American Affairs room block to receive the special room rate of $80.00 plus applicable taxes (single/double). Conference Room Rates are guaranteed until October 5, 2008. After this date rooms and rates are subject to availability.
Conference registration: You will find a meeting registration form attached to this email, as well as a tentative conference agenda detailing major functions and relevant dates and times. Check our website, ncbaa-nc.org for conference updates.
